Becher Munro & Company comprises of two partners and operates out of Sherwood Park, providing accounting and taxation services to owner-managed businesses and not-for-profit organizations.

Job Title: Co-Op Student

Job Specifications: Becher Munro & Company Chartered Professional Accountants is looking for an Accounting Co-op Student, registered in the co-op program of their post-secondary institution to join our team for a 4 or 8 month position. Basic knowledge of accounting, taxation and software would be beneficial.

Job Duties will include, but not be limited to, the following:

• personal tax preparation including file assembly
• assistance with preparation of T4s and T5s
• entry of client trial balances into Caseware software
• preparation of basic working papers such as bank reconciliations, accounts receivable, accounts
• payable, share capital, etc.
• preparation of T2 corporate tax returns
• assistance with audit work

The successful candidate will possess strong computer skills, must have great time management and organizational skills, exceptional attention to detail and communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

• Excel
• ProFile
• CaseWare
• QuickBooks
• Sage 50

Hours of Work:

Salary will be competitive.
